Get that in my email all the time. Don't even bother to look at it. Just delete it.

I'm selling a sports car at the moment and here is a cut&paste of an email I got yesterday...................idiot

"G'Day Mate, having gone through the ad a few times more now and after looking
around, I'm satisfied with the price and ready to buy it now as a birthday gift for
my brother in-law. I am at sea at the moment, as i am a marine engineer and due to
the nature of my work,
phone calls making and visiting of website are limited but had to create a chance out to check
this advert and send you an email regarding it. I really want this to be a surprise for my brother-in-law,
i wont let him know anything about the this until it gets delivered to him, i am sure he will be more than
happy with this.
A payment through paypal will be the best option at this instance because since
I don't have access to my bank account from online as i dont have an internet
banking. i'm aware that paypal charges a 2.4% on each transfer but it wont be a
problem, I will include this in the payment, so you can receive full funds, but i can
pay from my paypal account, i already have my bank a/c attached to the paypal
account. I'll need your paypal email address and the account name to remit the
funds asap. I'll need your paypal email address and the account name to remit
the funds asap. pls if you don't have paypal account yet, it is very easy to set
up, go to www.paypal.com.au and get it set up. After you have set it up i will
only need the e-mail address and full name used for registration with paypal
so as to put the money through. I have a pick up agent that will come down to
pick the vehicle after I have made the payments. Thanks and God bless".

Dave,

Thats the same moron I got email from when i advertised my father in law camry for sale in local Quokka on line here in perth. He is so persistent that he sent me 6 emails already telling me the same thing. The funny thing is the car was advertised more than a month ago when he left message telling the same story. Then i stopped advertising and readvertise again now and he immediatelly sends the same message.

The strange thing is all other people selling their cars dont have any offers and yet I got 6 from this moron!

What an idiot, wish i could find him at the sea and give him concrete shoes

bob

You will not find this jerk at sea. Wish these scammers would stop making this claim, it gives all us genuine seafarers a bad name!

I am at sea and recently bought an EQ6 mount off an IIS memeber. Told him that I was at sea, but emphasised I would not be using an agent, and would pay by bank transfer. He is holding the mount until I get home next week.
