What a pretty spot. Paperbarks are gorgeous trees with some much texture and beauty. Lovely image Shane.

Step in and stop it....that should be protected.

This development at any cost being seen as "progress" is the biggest load of crock that's ever been fostered upon people. Go and post these up everywhere you can. Take even more photos and then post these. Make some noise about it and let people know what they're going to lose, just to build a few more tightly packed butter boxes. And what good it their butter boxes when the place floods and they get washed away...which will happen if they build right on the riverfront. Or are they going to turn that river into another open storm drain cum sewer.

MAN! That little lagoon-oasis-paradise looks sweet! Why don't you fence it in the middle, call one side Liberal and the other Labor, that way no one will be able to decide what to do with it for an indefinite period of time...

Can't hurt...

You'll need a big fence though to fit 5 of them

I'm with Carl, every inch of Oz does not have to be levelled in the name of so called progress.

Power to the people.
