First Moon shot

First attempt with my Celestron Nextimage CCD on the 114 Newt.
300 frames @ 15 fps through a 2" moon filter cap.
Processed in Registax 5 with minimal wavelet enhancement and some minor stretching of the histogram. It's not a masterpiece but pleased to be able to get a decent exposure level and some details. Still learning the software and the system but having fun. Now if I coud just get rid of the clouds ....

And another

Same process but with a little Unsharp Mask in Paint Shop Pro. The interesting thing is that this set of 300 frames jiggled around a lot. When they were stacked a large artefact that I had to edit out of the previous image had been identified and removed from the pic automatically.
Clever wee beastie ain't it ?

Seeing was bad as was transparency. High level haze and a warm day preceding.
