looking for the comet??

Headed outside with camera and binoculars to check out Comet Encke, which is just above Mercury,
Had been clear all day, but now the air was full of moisture with thick fog rolling in of the pea soup variety.
At 24 dg and 95% humidity, it was quite oppressive, and must have made my skin extra tasty to the mozzies.
Alas, no comet, but had the ISS, plane, planets in fog, and some fireflies.

Yes, the fog certainly added to the effect in these images.
will keep looking for the comet, dont fear.
John - there is a thread in Observational Astronomy on Encke at moment. Wow, 25 years since you saw it, eh!!
