M17 Swan

I found this target difficult to image. I took 10 x 10 min frames and applied darks / flats 8 inch newt Canon 350D modded.

I was expecting more nebulosity and a sharper image.

More data and a little bit more agressive processing that is all the image needs IMO (attached example)

Thanks Trevor. I find that on some monitors the image looks better than others. But stretching it a bit does bring out more nebulosity.

That's a really nice shot Paul. Superb details. I've always found the color balance hard to get on that one too. Mine always turn up on the orange side too.
