Thanks Nettie. Its not often I'm capture au natural (note the contrasting decorative plumage.). I'm at home here that's for sure. They are great shots, but did so many of them have to be of me. Its normally me doing the shooting, it feels unnatural. And thanks for Terry, Tony, Shelly and Nettie for helping to make a great time.
It was Dave. I think I can safely say everyone had an great time. Numerous successes on the night as well. Still waiting to see a couple more shots from the other imagers.
We had a great time and really appreciated the hospitality of Paul/Jeanette and Ron. Was clear on and off all evening, until the cloud really moved in around 1am. We also "invaded" Rons place mid-evening, managing to commandeer his 16" as well as catching up with Ron, Suzy, Russ, etc.
I had a wonderful time and it was fantastic to finally meet Jeanette, Terry, Tony and Paul and enjoy a great night under some amazing dark skies! Thanks to Paul for being such an awesome host, you really made me feel welcome! Not to mention Fudge is the cutest thing ever, oh my goodness
I just really enjoyed getting out there and doing some observing with a great group of people and having a bunch a laughs! Was also very awesome meeting Ron and Suzy, there were so many hugs, I felt so special!!
Thanks to you all for a great weekend, it's been one of the best in a long time!

Those are such great piccies. Thank you Nettie (JJ), Tony, Terry & Shelley for that wonderful surprise visit to Ron's, you made my day! Both Russell & I really enjoyed ourselves. He is normally not a nite owl and for him to leave at 2am for a two hour drive home, must really say something. I felt so much joy and happiness amongst us. You'll helped make my first star party very special, and a treasured memory always.
Paul, I hope to catch up with you another time not too far down the track as I was so looking forward to meeting you as well.
