I don't mind the last one Rowland but I'd honestly consider choosing simpler images for HDR or something more architectural. With nature especially I find it really hard to do HDR's that aren't so over the top because layering the photos tends to make objects like trees look rather strange, almost oversharpened. I'm no expert though but that's just my experience with it.

You could also try using photomatix or a similar program to do "exposure fusion" which looks a lot more natural and I've used it for plenty of shots in the past with very pleasing results.

I accepted the noise in the first image - strangely, I really like it - each to his own...

The second, could be smoother in the foliage. I think I deliberately made it look plastic - overdone. I did use Pixinsight for another image and it was very smooth - I'll try that with the second image. The third is just jpeg noise. I'll find a way to post a better resolution.

I'm looking forward to improving on this. I love the effect, and agree that simpler and architectural images are very effective - still I'd like to find a way to use it with nature shots.

Much improved. Although the noise could also be an effect (in limited situations), I like the clean versions better in this case, strikingly different.
