M17 tricolor emission line: wavelength ordered palette

oldie but goodie

This is the first one I ever saw using this palette. I still like it better than any others I've seen but then I shot it...

One of my long time favorites. The colors and details in this shot are sublime. Welcome to IIS. Never seen you around here before surprisingly.

I am glad you like it. To me this is one of the most interesting targets for tricolor emission line imaging. It is usually passed by in favor of M16, another great target.

I've been around for a long time doing this, I developed this Tricolor Emission line method for the amateur community starting in 2001. I just learned of this forum this week so that's why i am new here....
