Welcome back to the IISCG....for the first time today...

Yessssssss, maaaaaarvellous half century that....really super stuff.

Have a "magnificent" Birthday from all of the team here at the Wide World of IIS.

Mario has conjured up a masterful innings and we wish him all the best after the drinks break for him to push on to his maiden century.

All the Best

Thanks Adrian, Liz, Suzy and Chris!!

Yes it's the big 50 - I find it hard to say but as my wife pointed out there's only one other option to my being 50. However, apparently telling people that I'm 40 isn't that other option!!

I was thinking back as to things I've seen in my life. I was lucky enough to see man first walk on the Moon - live thanks to the nun's at St. Thomas More's at Brighton-Le-Sands. I got to see Halley's Comet back in 1986 whilst working out in the desert. But best of all I got to see Dougie Walters in full flight at the SCG back in the early Eighties!

Yep, I've just about seen all the important things in life!!

Thanks once again for the kind thoughts,
Mario

Thanks everyone for you kind thoughts yesterday. I had a great day and I look forward to getting these old bones outside and doing some more viewing/imaging in the next 50 odd years!!!

Cheers,
Mario

PS And maybe, just maybe in the next 50 years I'll get to see NSW win a State of Origin series!!!

Cricket ruled back then with the likes Lilliee, Chappell, Marsh, Thommo, Viv, Clive! I was so obsessed with cricket, one birthday with a help of a friend, I made myself a large Gray Nicolls cricket bat birthday cake - the scooping of the GN-100 had to be perfect so I wouldn't trust it to anyone else . I have a long history with cricket myself, I was a cricket groupie
