Hello to all Macarthur Astronomical Society members
When you can, please log on to our website forum (Section: General MAS Discussion, Post: "Please volunteer to help staff the magnitude event") and indicate the day or days you might be available to help man our week-long event. We are looking for members to offer their time, and make a solid commitment to the event right now.
We appreciate the sacrifice involved, and would not like to see the success of the event hinge on the willingness of only a few people. If you have to change your plans, then you are able to edit your indication via the poll at any time if things change for you.
You will be doing nothing too strenuous, such as fielding questions from members of the public about amateur astronomy in general or in reference to our static telescope/imaging displays.
If you are able to bring your telescope and include it in our roped-off display area, please indicate this too. All telescopes will be under constant supervision, and will be protected by the art gallery security systems overnight.
