This 16" monster ASA 16N is up for sale. OK3 - f3:6 Model.

This deluxe sky machine is in excellent condition and near new.
An amazing telescope that is currently based in Australia, so you will save considerable time on ordering and delivery from AstroSysteme in Europe.

  • Secondary: 130mm
  • Focuser: ASA-OK3
  • Corrector: 3KORRW

Price is $19500 inc GST or nearest best offer, ready to be picked up or delivered to your observatory. (shipping can be arranged but not included)

Current price landed in Aust NEW is $23600 inc GST and shipping. So its pretty good value and an amazing OTA.

I know what you're thinking Mike. That little flexure issue.

For that sort of cabbage I would be looking for several images taken through this scope and several images of the inside of the scope too.

Yes I would like to know what the reason for the sale is too.

Gday,

This telescope is being sold to make way for a new 20" system arriving shortly.

And please lets not turn this add into a pros and cons thread gents Thanks. And G'DAY Mike!

If the camera payload is kept to the reccommended specs (under 6kg) then the performance of this system is not comprimised by flexure as this telescope has been reinforced at the focuser baseplate by the ASA factory.

In addition this telescope will soon be fitted with ASA's new design focuser to provide even more repeatablity. This is included in the sale price.

If your seriously interested you can 'try before you buy' as we can allow you to test drive this system remotely.

Contact Pete or Brad

Hi Pete,

Some images taken through it with the gear described would be good.

Cheers,

Greg.
