Venus 17th July 2010

Shot an hour before sunset tonight. The seeing was ok but not good enough with the UV filter + DMK so this is just a straight RGB from the DBK.

C11 at F30. 600 stacked.

Gee that's good work without a UV filter John,

Very crisp and smooth, nice job!

Cheers

Thanks guys. Normally I'd wait until sunset but this time I imaged it about an hour before sunset. Makes all the difference to capture it before it sinks too low, highlighting any nasty conditions.

Well I had better eat my words in my first post The seeing was good enough for a UV capture. Looked like crap at capture time, looked like crap previewing the AVI in registax. Decided on a quick stack & was impressed so I ran it through again with some heavy handed stipulations & this is the result.
