CCDStack v2

I've recently got v2 of ccdstack. Once of the nice features is a histogram display. Among other things you can use it to set your black and white points for the bitmap display before taking it into something like Photoshop. Saves on the old "guess and try" routine. There are also new deconvolution controls and an additional alignment routine. For those with DSLRs, there is full support for Canon and Nikon raw files. IMO worth the upgrade price from v1.

Thanks Geoff - I'm still on Version 1.something, so I'll take a gander at what's new in V2.

Cheers

And V2 flys on a quad core now, with huge stacks.

I haven't managed to play around with v2 yet, although I do have it. In fact, I never played with v1 either, as I love IRIS. But, do you have to still do the star snap step? How does v2 handle rotated/mirrored files?

I just issue one command in IRIS:

coregister2 infiles outfiles numfiles

and away it goes and registers (transforms, scales, rotates, etc.) everything without any manual intervention.

infiles: name of input sequence, such as light (which consists of light1, light2, light3... ), outfiles is output sequence, and numfiles is the number of images in the stack.
