Post Virgo for Stellarium

Some of you will be aware of this plugin for Stellarium, but for those that aren't here's the link to a nifty plugin called Virgo, from the ESO. Acts much like Aladin but you can access it through using Stellarium and will extend its capabilities into new areas for some and be familiar to others that have used similar software before. Have a look on the site...I think you'll find it useful

Hi

Virgo 1.4.4 is based on a version of Stellarium 0.10.3. It is the program that formed the basis of stellarium for the last few years. Bankrolling Fabien to be a full time programmer. It does what it is designed to do very well and I imagine there is a Virgo version based on 0.10.5 that won't be realeased as such.

The big plus with Virgo is the back ground of DSS stars that works very well. This feature is also in stellarium but inhibited at the moment but will eventually be available.

Barry
