Ngc6357

Decided to set up last night despite the cloud forcast warning of a frustrating night. I ended up with 29 x 5mins of NGC6357 before I was overcome with frustration including some tracking issues that appeared part way through the night. I'll definately have another try on this object at Astrofest but this will have to do for now.

Some nights you are better off staying in bed this can be a frustrating hobby at times it can be like War and Peace, at least you made the effort to get out there. Thanks for sharing

Good effort – I almost set up but my wife talked me out of it because of the changeable conditions. It looked clear early on then some high, wispy clouds began to move through from the N and W.

Thanks for the comments Trevor, Dennis, JJJ and Clive. I was determined to get set up last night as this weekend is my last one in town before heading off to Astrofest and there were a few new toys I needed to experiment with before I got up there.

It sure will be nice to leave the gear set up for a few days and not have to deal with the neighbours flood lights
