Paracorr focus

Don't know if there are any Paracorr (newt coma corrector) users who image with it. I wanted to know how it compares to the Baader MPCC which gives an added 10mm of backfocus which I need to get focus. If I use a Paracorr will I be able to get focus?

Paracorr has a slight barlow effect (1.15) does this mean extra backfocus is given to enable me to focus?

Thanks, JohnH.

Hi John, I've just recently gone from an MPCC corrector to the universal paracorr in my imaging train.

I found with the paracorr, I had to bring the draw tube out more to come to focus.
So yes, the paracorr will need more back focus than the MPCC.

Think this was what you were after

Thanks Rich, I can pull the focuser further out just don't have much room to go in. With the MPCC I am 10mm out from shoulder of focuser so don't have much room to go in any. Sounds like Paracorr will be fine.

Thanks, JohnH.

John, you'll probably see about 10-15mm difference from what I can judge between MPCC to the Paracorr so as you say you should be fine.
