Cosmos DVD Box Set on Sale.

Hi everyone,

Thanks to Neil W, I have just found out that JB HIFI are selling the complete DVD box set of Carl Sagen's Cosmos for only $34.95 . It's on sale and I don't know when it ends, so perhaps you should ring first and check price and availability.

When I last checked the ABC on line store two weeks ago, they were still selling at $150!

Kind regards,
Suzy.

Got my copy at JB Hifi also, thanks to Neil's heads up. They were having a 20% sale so got it for about $28. Watched most of the first program so far. It's good but it moves soooo slowly.

Wow, that is really cheap! And I thought I did well with $34.95!
I got my copy two days ago on the 20th, so they must be extending the sale from the 17th.

Hi folks,

Cosmos may seem a bit slow by today's standards of whizz bang computer enhanced documentaries, but it's well worth persisting with. He presents a lot of detailed history that leads up to what we know now, unlike other docos like The Universe that tend to concentrate on current science.

If you are a fan i would be grabbing one, as i was told by the guy at JB that the distributor has deleted it, so no new copies.

They're deleting Carl???

Who deletes Carl?

I Cannot believe they would even consider deleting such a precious and classic series .... I think I'm a bit upset

I've just tried to ring the store but they are shut due to public holiday today (forgot!). I'll chase this one up Alan, not doubting your word or anything, but just to make sure that the staff member at JB HIFI got his facts right.

If it is the case, it may be that down the road they will be releasing a super version or some such.

It's still showing on the DV1 website though, and i could not find it on any discontinued lists... Maybe the guy that told me had just taken bought them all and was reselling them on ebay (where i bought my copy) lol
