I'm new to IceInSpace and its good to see such a high quality site for those of us in Oz.
I am trying to start an astronomy club in the Rockhampton/Central QLD area. I hope to find some eager amateurs in the local area to make contact with.

Do you know about the Queensland Astrofest? Starts 7th August, ends
Sunday 15th August, near Kingaroy. See website by same name.

There is a thread here under Star Parties etc, but the website tells all.

Hope to see you there, I booked both Saturdays and last Sunday
