NGC6514 in Ha

Trying to get proper processing of Ha, S11 and O11 data for M20, This is 15x10min of Ha data which I feel shows the excellence of the Kodak 8300 chip. Scope was a 10"SCT with f6.3 reducer.

Hi Allan

Wow – there is some serious detail in the nebula – top shot! The background looks almost too black – is this a feature of H alpha, or maybe it’s just my (un-calibrated) monitor?

Cheers

Dennis

That has the hallmarks of being a killer image, Allan.

Please spend just as much, if not moreso time on the other channels!

Can't wait to see how this turns out!

Jeez that's sharp Alan!
Could've had my eye out!!!
Looks like the beginnings of a killer image though

...did I just channel H? I think I did! That's the power of subliminally casting one's eye over the previous replies but not fully reading them!

Very nice Allan. Are you planning to do the colour channels also or stick with NB?

Thanks for all the nice comments.
Im waiting to hear from Martin Pugh about how he did his NB shot of M20 and which channels he assigned to each filter. His shot is to die for and I have about the same amount of data for the S11 and O111 but my processing sucks bigtime and I need someone competant to lend me a hand.
When Im happy with the result Ill post the final image.
Allan
