Had a crack at M20 on the weekend at Leyburn (with M21 thrown in for good luck). I tried to concentrate on background stars instead of the extent of nebulosity. Subs were 3 minutes to target star colour and still the core burnt.
Anyway here it is, Televue np 101is, SBIG ST8300, Astrodon E series filters. LRGB, 60, 30, 30, 30. I finally have made the complete jump and it was processed in Pixinsight.
I just ran Adobe gamma on this new computer and monitor and found the image was way oo dark. I saw about 8 stars in it. I've attached an adjusted version.
Nice image Mark, Lots of golden dust and stars around this one. I like it in a wide field and you have managed the star colour beautifully. The only thing I would suggest is maybe just toning down the Red in the Nebula a little but thats just the way I like it. Seems a bit bright for the background.
Well done.
Really nice. Perhaps a *tad* too over-saturated. The reds in the nebula appear to be glowing and the core looks a little overexposed on this monitor.
But a fantastic wide field image. Lovely!
