Moon in Pleiades, and a conjunction.

Headed down the beach to capture some pics of the Moon and Mercury, and maybe a comet.
The only bit of cloud cover in the sky was the area I wanted!! Had to wait for the crescent Moon to rise a bit more before I took some pics.
Thought I got some Ok shots, but when I downloaded them I found that the Moon was embedded in the Pleiades, and I hadnt known!!
Also lucky to get some my first Iridium flare, and didnt know I had that either.
Also, the dog and his owner were out for their usual stroll.
Apologies for the bit off focusing in a couple.

Nicely captured Liz. I'm glad someone got a look at the Pleiades occultation! I got up at 4:40am, only to find 100% cloud cover

Cheers,
Stephen

Very nice Liz

Nice capture of the flare. I have been putting off asking why the dog has a red light is he/she an astronomer 2

All good Liz, the iridium flare is a bonus and Pluto pup with his red light is becoming a bit of a celebrity dog, at least on IIS.

Regards
Trevor

Thank you all for the kind comments.
Shame that cloud is lingering down south.
Yes, little Pluto pup is an energetic little thing, races around in all directions with his little red light.
