Solar Halo

I have been trying to capture on of these for such a long time, and NZ did oblige. This was the Sun afternoon of my Kinloch weekend. I had come back to the meeting point as I had a sore foot (I managed to fall in a hole in the footpath in Invercargill!) and I was sitting at the building at the end of the Routeburn track when I shot these. I just waited for the actual sun ti dip behind the range (the Caples) and went mad with GND, G tobacco, G blue, and a purple and yellow filter. Only the GND and tobacco processed so far.

Both are multi process - first for the sky and then for the land and hand blend.
