Sacrifice

Central sculpture in the Sydney Hyde Park War Memorial entitled "Sacrifice", sculpted by Rayner Hoff (27 November 1894 – 19 November 1937). Took this a couple months ago but the hard drive it was on had crashed and only managed to salvage it today.
Five shot HDR merged in Photomatix, PP in CS4, details enhanced with Topaz Adjust.

Wow Adam, this particular HDR shot really appeals to me.
The look and 'feel' of it suites the subject, well done.

I've yet to visit this Memorial, must make the effort one day when I'm down there again.

Thanks for posting this.

Gosh, that's got some punch!

So, "Five shot HDR". Is that like saying five frames of different exposure lengths stacked?

Baz.

Cheers Andrew, there's so many interesting sites around Sydney I've taken for granted over the years and that was the first time I had a proper walk through the memorial

Thanks Baz, yep all differing exposures from under/just-right/over exposed to bring out the varying details.
