Ap600e +++

AP600E - not goto - Argo Navis DSC - Half pier and heavy duty Meade tripod.

This seems like a lot of gear for the asking price of 4k, and outside my budget. But I am interested to know whether this would be considered a realistic price. I thought much higher. Just trying to get a feel for the market.

I owned the mount you are talking about, but not the tripod.
To my mind the addition of the Argo has negated most of the need for goto, and as a mount is concerned they are spectacular, hard to beat.
The mistake most make, me included when I was starting, is to skimp on the mount. Either way you end up getting a better mount, stretch your budget to this one, it is worth it.

Thank you. I think the second hand market is probably where I'll keep looking. The feed back is much appreciated.
