Takahashi EM200b - Price?

Still looking around at G-11's, however, how much would one expect to pay for an as new Takahashi EM200b - basic features. I understand a goto upgrade would cost around 2600.

Rowland,
I have an EM-200 T2 Goto and very happy with the mount. You just can't beat Takahashi.
The EM-200b, if in good nick, around $3500 (probably about 7 yrs old)
Don't get an upgrade, just fit an Argonavis for a 1/3 of the price you quoted!
best of luck,
Peter

I agree with Peter, put an Argo Navis on the EM200, rather than upgrading it, you'll love it.

Takahashi no longer manufacturers the Temma GoTo upgrade for the EM200b, EM200 USDII or EM200 USD III mounts. So if you want GoTo you need to look at a third party option like the FS2. I have just purchased a second hand EM200 USD II from Astromart but there is a EM200b for sale ($4K AUS) on Astro Buy & Sell

Thanks Hans. It's been there for a while - thanks for the heads up on the upgrade.
