Not forgetting Anthony's appearance on last nights doco on Jupiter. It was a lovely surprise to see him pop up.

Anthony has a "Jupiter" switch at his house...whenever he wants to have something spectacular happen, he just flips the switch and "hey, presto", something happens...like the SEB disappearing

Seriously, though, great to see Anthony in the headlines, again

As long as you didn't blink at the wrong time

I'll have to review the DVD frame by frame to see what I missed! But when David Levy came on talking about 1994, I wondered whether they would be right up to date with 2009. They squeezed a few seconds in!

I think it went for all of 10 seconds. By the time I got over the shock of seeing him on the telly it was all over.

Good to see Anthony getting recognition for his work. If he's not carefull he may lose his amateur status

Yeah, Anthony was on the doco for 10 seconds.

They had a profile shot from the left, then him sitting at a computer pointing at the screen, saying something like "The impact zone of the comet on Jupiter was the size of the Pacific Ocean".

Thanks for the heads up. At first glance, after I had navigated to the article, I thought “wow – nice Hubble shots” then upon reading the photo credit (at upper right) I saw Antony’s name there!

Well done Anthony - a modest, quiet achiever if I ever saw one, despite your prodigious talent and dedication.

Cheers

Dennis

Great images - first you give us something (Bird Strike) and now you take away (SEB)!

RE Anthony on TV

Well done Anthony!,it was a pleasure to see you on ABC last night, you deserve a OAB!

On another note, this series on the solar system is very good,Our teenage boys are really into it,in fact if they had not have put it on
I would have missed it,and that would not have been good!

cheers Chris

Thanks everyone, but wait until the SEB revival on Jupiter starts (hopefully later this year!), it will likely be spectacular :-) I just hope to get some good weather...

cheers, Bird
