Honey ! you brought what !

Yesterday the lady of the household went out with a couple of girlfriends shopping with intent to use some wedding gift vouchers we received earlier in the year . Ive already used my share and i thought i did a decent job on some gentle persuasion on what she needs { dvd recorder/wide-screen TV}. I was pretty excited when she got home but nearly fainted when she revealed she had gotten a VACUM CLEANER !!!!! i know she sensed my bewilderment and I was suspecting some payback on the number of mysterious mail packages i receive For the next half hour i got a full tutorial on the virtuals of this expensive and sci fi looking machine .......the funny thing though cant stop vacuuming this morning oh the shame of it

You got a Dyson You lucky bugger. I'd kill for a Dys.......oooopps... ....What a shame Stuart. A plasma with digital reception would have been great for cricket, footy, replaying all those images you collect so everyone can see clearly. (Believe me those DSO images look fantastic on a 42" plasma, I've even started processing using that rather than the computer screen )

As long as she was excited about it Stuart. After all it was her turn.

PS: the irony is my wife was talking to my Mum last night and i found out my Dad had brought a LCD TV .....man i could hear my dads laughter miles away

I've been trying to talk Sya into buying one for a couple of years now. Unfortunately she's thinks her Kiwi brand (She's Kiwi too) Tellus Vacuum is doing a great job. Not!

Enjoy Stuart, I know I would. (Guess who does a lot of the vacuuming here )

Welcome to the Dyson club!
I've had mine for a couple of years now. It did a marvelous job of destenching the boys bedrooms. The only downside is that it unravels frayed carpet at an alarming rate.
The top of the range model orders its own spare parts if it breaks down. Seriously, it does.
Don't let the guys here give you any crap about using it, it's only because they don't appreciate fine machinary that does exactly what it is meant to do, but with smoothness and style.

We bought a new vacuum cleaner recently... its called a Roomba... a wireless robotic vacum cleaner. You presser a button in the morning when u leave for work, and come back home to a vacummed house! I love it!

If its low on battery it goes back to its recharging station to recharge or when its finished!

Nice VC stuart, how much are they?

Sometimes it's probably better not to know how much crud you've been sleeping on, lying on, walking on etc.

When we got ours, I had to empty the container 2 times as it was full of sand and plaster dust from the renovations 5 years earlier. . We couldn't believe it!! Even now it get full of crud that the kids and me bring into the house, my wife is pure and no dirt sticks to her well at least thats what she tells me.

My stint with the cleaning soon stopped though, I went back to my old ways very quickly, you know just the basics and the shortcuts, and got busted by the wife, so i was sacked good thing too

edit: the first one cost 699, the second one cost 820 (899)

Mate,

thru the years to come you will thank her. I finally capitualted a few months ago and purchased a dyson upright and man the dust it sucked out of the carpet in thirty seconds was astounding and that was after the carpet only being vacumed by our old one just hours before.

32mm still going strong.
