EQ6 and Eqmod

Hi All

I have my EQ6 mount connected up with EQMOD.
I am using Sellarium and Stellariumscope, latest versions. It all works well, even the wireless gamepad for slewing
I have tried to use the GPS "mouse" that can with my EQ6, but no luck
The GPS mouse works on its own with my PC (running Vista unfortunately).
I have followed the EQMOD instructions and changed the GPS output to NMEA, have the correct port and baud rate, but no reading appears on the GPS data window.

Any thoughts!

Thanks in advance.

Try setting the comm port for the GPS unit to Com2 - ie force it to use Com2 instead of whatever the default that Windows might set it up to - also if you have only USB ports (ie no RS232 serials; most newer model PCs are like this) connect the GPS on its on USB port and not "shared" on a USB hub

I had a similar problem initially and solved it by the above method

Just in case - it's obvious though - might as well ask; did you save the settings after changing to NMEA format?

HTH
Cheers
