LMC from Cambroon Obs

Just a quick 40 minutes through the Tamron 90mm.
8x5min @ ISO400 F5.6
The LMC is behind a tree in my backyard so I don't think I'll be adding any more to this one.

Lovely shot, but I'll tell you what I'm noticing with these Tamron 90 widefield shots you've been doing - the diffraction spikes, or rather the lack of them, compared to other lens shots. Very pleasing results. I'm sure I read that the Tamron 90 has curved aperture blades (9 of them?), which gives nicer bokeh, and obviously nicer stars too. Interesting.

Gorgeous!! Must be exactly like looking at it through the eyepiece on a 20 inch Dob! Although I haven't looked through an eyepiece in years

What a lovely shot. How do you rate the Tamron against the nifty fifty?
As for the tree, that's why god gave us chainsaws.
