Excellent Ron,

The social gods have smiled on me this time around and Mini-Morb and Me will be there... we'll come up Saturday afternoon so we can catch up with everyone.

Better start dusting off the cobwebs on the telescopes...

cheers - DrMorb

Would like to be there but circumstances don't allow this month. But I am going to a dark site (nearest lights are 25k away) on Saturday to demonstrate the scopes to a future enthusiast.

Don't worry Morbius, you're not the only one dusting the cobwebs off your scope for this month.

Hope to see you all there!

Well what can I say - such a gathering of old friends only comes once in a blue moon (or in the months just following a flurry of them). Ron, Randall, Paul, Chris, Jeanette, Wes - it's been a long time since I've seen mansy of you!

I'll be there for sure, and I'll probably have both my brothers with me (Phil is down from Alice Springs for a couple of weeks, and he brought his 13mm Ethos with him. ) and my son Tim will probably make his first visit to Cambroon as well.

Looking forward to seeing you all!

Yes it's a strange old universe, it always amazes me how fast things change. I'm still coming up with Joy (who flies back in from Adelaide in the morning) and Tim with me. Don may be coming but he isn't sure yet, and I don't believe we'll be seeing Phil at all. On the upside I think my old mate Gavin will be coming up again too.

See youse there!

We should have taken another group photo later in the evening. But here's one taken earlier in the afternoon.
From left to right
Graeme, Randall (DrMorbius), Jarod (MiniMorbius), Paul (1Ponders), Mike (Sparticus), Chris (Xeelee), Jeanette (jjjnettie) and Ron (Astroron).

It was a great night Ron. It was lovely to catch up with everyone.
Thanks for the hospitality.

A Grand Total of 24 people attended Cambroon Observatory over the Two days of this weekend, 14 iceinspacer's and ten guest's ,Adam(Adman) came on Friday and left on Saturday.

Even though the weather was not the best , observing wise, I think everyone enjoyed themselves, having a good BBQ feed and a chin wag and a few bottles of wine being consumed
Some observing was done by a few of us, with Saturn being the main attraction.
JJJ and Paul(1 ponders)Mike (Sparticus) Chris (xeelee) where involved with some astroimaging with what success I don't know
At one stage the place looked like a Woolies Car Park, with a certain person parking in the middle of the drive way

I hope as the Winter approaches the night's get a bit clearer and drier.

I look forward to seeing you all again next time
