M83out of the dog bowl

This is a stack of two nights images taken with the 350d 3hrs 30mins iso 400
on the 10'newt,it is also processed all in pixinsight thanks to David Hough

LOL thanks Al. It was the first time i have processed this galaxy - and used Pixinsight to do it. I got the raw file from Al this afternoon and processed it after tea and emailed it to him - i think he liked it

it is a slight crop from the original framing due to the two nights effort, stacked in DSS with the overlapping crop feature in DSS. Brought into Pixinsight, i applied Dynamic background extraction to remove the gradient and to normalise the colour. then used the histogram to bring up the image, then applied a luminance mask (brought it down to protect bright core and central section and stars) with HDR wavelett transform tool, then removed the mask and applied ACDNR with a luminance mask protection (a bit of fiddling) and then applied the intensity transformation tool - colour saturation - then saved as JPG and sent to Al. Al did all the effort

Nice job Dave (and Al). The Pixinsight user manual must be a lot more comprehensive than most astro IP apps

i have relied on the videos and trial and error but i am waiting to see how Al goes with it. He just bought Pixinsight

Thanks everyone this is the first time i have used 2 nights data and i thought it has come up rather nice ,i have tons to learn on the processing side just need lots of practice.
