An impressive Fecker

Don't you just love these 1950's adverts. This one is from Sky & Tel, 1959.

A classic.

They don't make them like they used to. Would certainly be a solid bit of kit.

Feck Me!
What's the 'Lady of the House" doin' with a bit of kit like that? Why is she out of the kitchen?
Unless there's a washing machine in that pedestal, she'd best get back to work and leave the business of science to her husband!

Sorry for the hijack.

It'd be more a Father Jack line I reckon.
My favourite episodes "Cigarettes, Alcohol and Roller Blading." and "New Jack City"

'Tis OK.

The two 'Kicking Bishop Brennan up the A%$s' episodes get my vote.

Thanks

Looks a bit like the space shuttle!

Do you think they used a woman in the photo to accentuate its size?

According to my ruler, She is under 5' tall (not more than 1.44m) tall. 1950's version of "photoshopping" I think!

However it would be nice to see that scope these days. I wonder how many survive?

Update - Google tells me here is one still being loved:-

Check out the size of the rings sitting on top of it. Wonder what sits there?
