Shot this a couple of nights ago 1 hr 40min iso 400 on the 10"newtonion .David Hough came over and set up Pixinsight for me and gave me a basic tutorial and we processed this for a demo.i have lots to learn but looks promising.

Looks pretty good Alan. The extended light bulge is easily visible in your image. Maybe some selective sharpening on the dust lane might be worth trying.

Ah yes...ol'faithful

Not a bad effort at all! As Paulie says, it may be just a bit soft and some selective sharpening might enhance the image..?

Colour balance looks very good though

Mike

I had another Mikus Reprous on your data Al - did a dark lane enhancement and a one with unsharp mask in Pixinsight. Not sure but the dark lane script was a winner!
