Doodad in Musca

Managed to get data two nights in a row. Just processed this.

Details
Canon 5DH, Canon 300mm F2.8L at f3.5 with external aperture and lens hood extension. ISO 1600. Hutech LPR filter. Fridge at -11.0C.
Exposures 20x(15s, 30s, 60s and 120s). Usual HDR method. No enhancement.

Large image. FoV 6.5 X 4.5 degreees. 9MB

Hi Bert,
What a super image. I see a couple of very distant slightly obscured Globulars in there as well.Wonderful FOV,and focus & tracking as good as it gets. Very well done.

Great one Bert!! The Doodad show up very clearly.
We had a discussion on the Doodad last year in one of the forums, I thought Eric was pulling my leg with that name, but its fair dinkum.

I looked it up and it is known as Doodad. Ya learn something new every day.

Let's give him his full name - de old "Dark Doodad"! See page 50 Sky & Telescope's Pocket Sky Atlas.

Nice capture, Bert and great FOV, capturing the two globulars as well.

Great in the binos, folks, under dark skies.

Edit - downloaded the full res image - that is just astounding, Bert - it's full of STARS! Apologies that the attached screen shot doesn't do it justice, but I hope it convinces people to download that 9MBytes and forget your download limit!!
