Unexpected visitors for breakfast!

Hi all,

This pair of rainbow lorikeets came to our deck this morning, much to the delight of my daughter who fed them some sugar. Of course after feeding them they stayed screeching on the deck for another half an hour demanding more!

The first 2 images are from a little Cybershot compact camera, and the last is with the dSLR.

Cheers,
Stephen

Lovely shots Stephen, you have a very photogenic daughter.

These birds seem very comfortable around humans, are they regular visitors, or do you live next door to Currumbin!

Cheers

Thanks Dennis! Yes, I think these birds are regularly fed by others because they were very tame. I'm no where near Currumbin, although Lone Pine is anly a few km away - not sure if they feed lorikeets there?

They came back again this morning, although we didn't feed them this time. I took a few images using my 70-300mm telephoto as they were preening, but haven't downloaded then yet.

Cheers,
Stephen
