Byron waves

Hi all,

Here's a couple of wave images taken at Byron Bay last weekend. There was quite a bit of swell generated by the cyclone off the Queensland coast, which produced some good surf. I quite like the curving edge of the wave in the first image.

Both taken with a 300mm telephoto. Thanks for looking!

Cheers,
Stephen

The water looks great there.
Byron is a nice spot and it sure looks nice for a swim...

We're hoping to get to Byron this year (Nov). We went every year for about 6 years, and then missed in 2009 for the first time. There is nothing like the first swim at Belongil Beach, followed by a cold ale at the Beach Hotel or fish and chips at Fishmongers.
