More sunspots

Hi All,

Got home from work quickly enough to grab some pictures of a nice active sun.

Here's the first one out of the processing mill.

Cheers

Hi Stuart,
Very nice. Good to see you posting again. Its been a while since I have seen any of your stuff.
Was that image taken with you Luminera or the DMK?

Great image Stuart, loads of detail.
BTW as an owner of both a DMK21 and a SynNyx2-0(lumenera) I find the DMK just as good and as its much lighter much easier to balance too.

Hi Dave,

That's an interesting observation about the Lumenera camera. I'm looking forward to the extra couple of bits in the AD converter, for some stuff the DMK just runs out of dynamic range.

The slightly bigger pixels means more sensitivity but less image scale.

Cheers
Stuart
