Latest release by Cassini, Amazing hi res images of Mimas
Hi All,
Carolyn Porco of CICLOPS has just released Cassini's latest images of Mimas "The Death Star". They are from the latest Cassini flyby of Mimas and are simply stunning.

What a crater that Herschel is, and yes, very 'death star' like Mimas is.
Think I wll have another look and read.

Those are stunning, especially the false colour and 3D ones. What an awesomely desolate place - it looks like it's been used for target practice!
