Dont wanna jinx myself!!

Townsville has clear blue skies!!!

I am in shock, and cant believe it. This has been a first for me for a loooong time, but I know I am still quite a few hours away from it being dark ... and clear.
Have had my new scope (Bella) for ages (many months) but barely used it, let alone the Argo Navis, so tonight, here i come!!
Now to make a list of some targets, and maybe a couple in the April challenge.
Will take Bella out directly, and light the mozzie candle, and now for my list.
Sooooo excited.

PS .... welcome back renormalised ... we have missed you Carl

Oh, I know Warren, I didnt want to put up this thread, but had to .
I take full responsibility for clouds numbering over 10 % of sky.

Bought the 3 x 'The Night Sky Observer's Guide' late last year, but yet to use properly. Wow, Orion has 20 pages worth of info!!
So much info, and presented in sections eg for 8-10' scopes, and 12-14". Looks good. They are a bit pricey, but got mine OS, all about $50 and less.

I only got Vol 3 - now I have to have Vols 1 & 2. Combined with Argo Navis, a killer combination. Type in those NGC numbers!

Eric .. Cant wait till I get AN up and going, presently not going. Am sure I am going to have problems (sorry Gary) so not sure sure if I will even set it up tonight ... maybe I will give it 5 min, then leave it for another night of clear skies. Dont want to be too frustrated tonight.

How did you go Warren?

Best/only observing night for over 6 months. Bella has been christened
Lots of great sights seen, tho 'seeing' not great due to an abundance of moisture in the air, but still a wonderful night.
Will write up a little observing report.
