Had a break in the clouds last night and imaged a few galaxies around the Southern pole for an exercise. One (NGC1947) reminded me of M104/ngc5128 so I swung around to that with the moon blasting forth and imaged that as well (called it mini-me galaxy). Thought it was interesting what a DSI can do in this light/lunar pollution. Its interesting that NGC 1947 appears to have a double dark band?
