While processing some wide angle photos I took last Sat from Johns Hill (
http://www.iceinspace.com.au/forum/s...t=26200&page=7), I noticed a strange halo around one star near the centre of one frame (I was shooting NGC2516).
It turned out to be IC2220.. (

It is amazing how many interesting things are lurking in photos, taken with relatively simple equipment (Canon 400D + Canon 200mm FD @ F5.6, 8x45 sec ISO1600).
