A bit of the sky from Katherine

This image was taken on a tripod about a mile out of Katherines ouutskirts.
1.3MB
http://members.optusnet.com.au/~trlee8/kath01.jpg
details
Canon 5DH, 24 to 105 mm F4L at f/4 and 24mm FL, no filters, 60 sec at 1600 ISO.

The trees were silhouetted black against the sky. The light on the trees is from only the stars. I could only barely see the track I was walking on after about an hours light adaptation. I wish this was visible from my backyard.

Nice image Bert.
Katherine is great for viewing the northern sky (Its latitude is 14.5 S), it also has lots of clear days, and I love swimming in Edith Falls.

Nice shot Bert.

But...more importantly...have you been to the "back bar" for a beer yet?

Nice part of the world.
