NGC3579 - RC8+QHY9 narrow band

Hello people ,

My second target with the new equipment, centered on NGC3579.
Astronomik Ha Sii Oiii filters used from my backyard with the moon up, it was a good test to see what was achievable with light pollution and moon and I'm liking it so far, just gotta learn to process them properly.

About 1hr exposure each at 15min sub. I hope I'm on the right track with processing, narrowband is all new to me..

Dave

Thats an absolute stunner with the QHY9 and filters. Processing is excellent and I love the hues and contrast - really well done.

5 stars.

That's one of the best images posted here recently, as well as being the best example of what the GSO RC's are capable of doing.

Take a bow.

Certainly one of the best RC8 images to date that I have seen. Not produced one this good myself yet. Very nice image.

Dave,

That is a great image, what type of guiding are you doing and what type of mount?

The RC8 is performing very well.

Very effective use of the narrowband palette Dave. The detail obtained and colour portrayed have good visual impact with this target. Lovely work. Hope to see more of your narrowband adventures. Well done.

Very nice indeed. Ive been imaging this lately, OIII was a pain. The blue in yr image looks fine though (damb it, for such short exposures). Whats the filters nm bandpass?

And the processing?, your kidding, its spot on.

I'm using an old EQ6 with EQMOD and 900mm guidescope.
