I havn't looked outside since this afternoon.
I saw blue sky earlier today so I didn't want to ruin it just incase the clouds come over.
Just think of it as a test Paul.....he is just testing us.

Poor Paul, these things will pass.
I'm going for an early morning observing session this time. I haven't had much chance to observe Jupiter and Saturn with the new dob. Looking forward to it.

Paul, you should have waited an hour, like you, I set my gear up (pre flight run for Rons on saturday night) and it clouded over, I was thinking of you (we live just a few blocks apart) wondering if you too had set up, but I waited, watched some telly, let it rain lightly on my new Dob (not happy Jan, but missed the mirror) and went outside about 10 and voila, it was perfect, well almost, slightly hazy at high altitude causing a little sky glow but Seagull, Trarantula, Tuc47 and the rest of the magellanic mob were all there in their glory, excellent night, now shoosh, I have to go back to sleep on my keyboardsdiufhkgjvgdfgvddfghvfkgkjh bhbnjfjbn.....................ZZZzz zzz ZZZZzzzzzzzz

I managed an allnighter here on the 29th Nov, the first fairly decent night since late
september. Almost forgotten how good this hobby can be. It's very frastrating
especially when you need to write up monthly observing challenges. Mind you
I think it the first time I have managed to eyeball both arms of NGC 1365 with
direct vision through my trusty 8" newt!!! and Saturn was looking rather spectacular.
But it will be good to get past these early summer storms, but hey at least the
tanks are near full.
regards,CS
