prices that dont make sense

Prices of astro goods again

My understanding is that BD (black diamond) from Skywathcher is well, new edition. Is it better than previous models is for discussion. But what I don't understand is pricing at Andrews.

BD-15012 AR 150mm x 1200mm refractor OTA and EQ5PRO SynScan computerised equatorial mount (white). Complete package! $2199.00

BD-15012 AR 150mm x 1200mm air-spaced doublet refractor OTA $1149.00

And

150 x 1200 with HEQ5PRO (white)heavy duty "Go-To" computerised mount and V3.0
"Go-To" hand controller
$2299.00 AUD

150 x 1200 refractor OTA
Inc. dovetail bar, tube rings, diagonal, 8x50 finderscope and two eyepieces!
$799.00 AUD

*****

Now, as you can see from above BD OTA cost: $1149 and "normal" one cost $799 yet again when buying in combo with the more expensive one ends up to be cheaper?

Maybe its just a mistake on the web. Or is the a difference between:

HEQ5PRO (white)heavy duty "Go-To" computerised mount and V3.0
"Go-To" hand controller.

and

EQ5PRO SynScan computerised equatorial mount (white).

cheers

bob

Perhaps the fact that the cheaper one is actually not a HEQ5Pro but just a standard EQ5Pro but both being Gotos also!

As I understand it the HEQ series is supposedly "Heavy-duty"

Cheers

Just and observation, LOL, but from the write up in the original thread I take it that the cheaper prices are OTA only, no mounts?

In the first package you have a more expensive refractor ($1149) bundled with a cheaper mount mount ($1049) so separately $2198 - a saving of one dollar.

In the second package you have a cheaper refractor ($799) bundled with a more expensive mount ($1499), so separately $2298 - a saving of one dollar.

On both bundles you save one dollar!

Actually I got that around the wrong way, you save $1 if you buy it separately - but I don't know if you get things like rings and such if you buy it separately.
