Thumbs up Congratulations also to Albury/Wodonga!

Hi Petra,

Indeed, well done Astronomical Society of South Australia for their
Outback Astronomy Tour 2010!

And well done the Astronomical Society of Albury/Wodonga who have been awarded
a fabulous Government grant for Border Stargaze 20101!

We all appreciate how these grants are in limited supply and there is much competition
in getting one. So by definition, the submissions from both Society's must have
been first class efforts to win. Such submissions don't write themselves, so
congratulations to those involved at the two clubs who penned them!

Of course, having won, those same people realize they are now well
and truly committed to the hard work of staging the actual events and bringing science
to the masses. And they will do it and they will succeed! These type of people who are the real
movers and shakers behind star parties and public outreach events are an extraordinary breed.
You exist in small numbers at clubs the world over. I for one applaud you and are always
grateful for your efforts and I know other attendees feel the same way.

Best regards

Hard work ahead

Hi Gary,

Once again many thanks for your encouraging words and thoughts. I would also like to add if I may that it is through the ongoing generosity of sponsors and the amatuer astronomer community that supports us in our endeavours. And with that support we have enjoyed 3 successful events.

It is your (everyones) contribution that we value so highly.

This year we will be hosting two events, the first during National Science Week in August aimed at students and the second in September our fourth Border Stargaze.

I/we look forward to seeing those who are returning and those that are coming for the first time and thank those that have joined us at a previous Border Stargaze event.
