Can I add synscan goto kit to vixen gpd2

Hi,

Is it possible to add a heq 5 pro synscan v3 goto kit to my vixen gpd2 mount, rather than buying a whole new mount?

Any advice greatly appreciated.

Hi Shaun, I believe the GPD2 is identical to the Meade LXD75.
I'm sure the GOTOSTAR kit will suite your Vixen mount. I'm not sure if Synscan v3 will do. There are several articles on internet.

I found that it was actually cheaper to buy a second hand HEQ5pro than to get a synscan upgrade kit

The other option would be to retro fit Meade autostar - I did that on my EQ5 a few years ago.
