Tucker time

This picture was a bit late for last months photo challenge on food as it was taken last night.

It was Chillie's second mouse. The pink box is a pencil box.

Oh it's so cute!!
I have an affection to pythons and them to me. When ever I am holding them, they always want to curl around the crown of my head and form me a hat.

Yeah! I don't know what the attraction is for them to climb to the top of your head. I don't let mine go up that far but I do let her lick the tip of my nose.

She usually coils around the mouse to eat it. I didn't have my camera ready. By the time I grabbed my compact camera, she had got that far. That was the first shot out of 3 that I took. She had almost finished her mouse when I took the second shot, and the last shot was un-usable due to being out of focus.

Chillie didn't think so. She thought, Yummy!

If you're worried about all that liquid, I buy my mice frozen and just put them in hot water to defrost. So she gets them dripping wet. Some snake owners put the mouse/rat into a ziplock bag before they put them in hot water, so the mouse/rat is dry when fed.

Mitchell, The hardest part is getting her to eat a mouse. Tonight is feed day and she refused to eat it.

I only have one snake so I'll have to throw out the mouse.
