Looking good, I would have thought that for your location RGB for Mars would be the go. As I have already mentioned re your post on CN, the IR work exceptionally well in ordinary seeing, such as experienced imaging objects at low alt.
In such circumstances the IR channel will produce a much higher res result than the "R" channel. I have found that in good seeing when imaging an object at reasonable alt, such as the case was for us in OZ with Jupiter, then the "R" channel will produce an image of equal resolution to the IR.
Of note with Mars in IR, the ocean of sand dunes that ring the NPC, "Olympia Planetia" that is showing through as the methane ice frost sublimates, shows out very well in IR. This feature seems to very easily become saturated, especially in "G" & "B" channels.
