Mars at opposition, perigee blue moon, and halo

Hi all,

Here are a couple of images of Mars and the perigee Blue Moon taken from Brisbane last night. The thin cloud cover resulted in a nice halo, shown in the second image (with Mars inside the halo, just below and left of the Moon). Did anyone elso catch this?

Thanks for looking.

Cheers,
Stephen

And here's a close-up of the Blue Moon, taken with the 300mm telephoto lens.

Well done Stephen,

Love the spooky atmosphere of the second image.

I always look forward to seeing your work.

Regards
Trevor
